Default Mot du jour

Hello fellow GW players!
To break the monotony of this forum - I figured we could spend a few moments using our brains so I bring to you a new daily series.
It's called "Mot du jour" - or "word of the day".
This gives us the chance to learn a French word each day!

Now since I am aware that people from all over the world visit this forum I feel that explaining the world though English might be a bit limiting.
That is why - I shall explain the word through the universal language of GW!

So to kick it off - I wish to start with a lovely word:
"un truc".

The explanation:
Step1:
[build=OwZToY/85R6zj0Z4CkhvYYMBB]
Step 2:
July 2nd
[hex breaker] + 50% less damage
Step 3:
Step 4:

Or for those that aren't as fluent in GW and would rather see an English explanation:
"un truc" = thingie, whatsit, trick, GIMMICK
http://french.about.com/od/vocabulary/g/truc.htm

Ohh and since I feel I might not be able to do tomorrows word - I figured I could do it today already.
For it's explanation we jump to step 2:

Step 2:
Instead of having 9 lvl27, dom=16/illu=16 mesmers pop-up - we see 4ish lvl 20 (with a balanced attribute allocation) mesmers, a few melee guys with some 2ish lvl 20 monkies with thingies like [WOH][heal party][gole][extinguish][remove hex] pop up. Nothing fancy really.

Step 3:
The word of the day:
"merde".

-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-

For those that don't consider me funny (bastards!) - here's the short version.

You balance a gimmick with a gimmick - and a new gimmick arises.
Do it right in GW2.
No crappy 8 warrior/ele/mesmer teams - but rather a balanced team of foes.
It gets the job done. Players - being smarter then the AI - will still win - while at the same time it will prevent the most degenerate forms of PvE play.
This isn't a rant about ectos, SF, favor, whatever, ... - but rather a dose of reality.
You either do it right - or someone will find a shortcut shorter then YOUR shortcut.
Now excuse me while I restart my assassin.

(Ohh and my apologies for abusing the French language (blame Yahoo! for the possible wrong translation btw!) and the French itself.
Love you guys!)

You can use "un machin" "un bidule" which both means the same as "un truc" also.
We usually use it when we miss a word or when we don't really know what something is (just like a thing)
I don't really get the link between the builds and the french words tho :/
C'est un peu la merde ton truc héhé.

Don't blame them for having no military victories.

But kinda agree. I mean, come on - PvE in Guild Wars is like one of the worst I've ever seen in any games when it comes to actual fight of people vs Arch Idiots. It's like a war, where tanks in huge amounts (monsters) are getting assraped by the infantry (players) with tactical nuclear launchers.

Ah yes, he promised my countrymen that he will defeat the Russians. He got pwnd before he got to the capitol. Oh, and he failed to regain his army in October 1813. And Waterloo later.

Although he and Jean Reno are the only French dudes I tolerate.

Nom de dieu de putain de bordel de merde de saloperie de connard d'enculé de ta mère. It's like wiping your arse with silk. I love it.

Quoted for emphasis.
If you want to power-trade, learning a language is where it's at.

That said, you only need to know a handful of words (achete, angebot, etc) to be able to trade :\. "100k+10e?" is pretty globally understood.

ot: WTB welsh district =(

Agree. Except for some things during WWII and 200 years ago when America was born, our country was and is pretty bad. That's why I don't use native language on forums.

Yeah well it's about getting open to other langages. If you're against you're not forced to ruin the fun for other people and being a jerk either.
Basic French is no harder than German or polish tbh. If you're open to those langages I don't see why you're criticizing french people.
Enough with hate please, this is an attempt for people to be less close minded, if you can't get that you're welcome to not answer the thread anymore and continue being xenophobic elsewhere
I'll introduce a new french word.

"Abruti": definition is either given in the post above or by the english word "jerk"
